
Dan Greenpeace is one of UK music’s leading figureheads and as a highly respected DJ, Dan’s club residencies now stretch from London to Dubai and anywhere in between. He has performed around the globe alongside fellow collaborator DJ Yoda with whom he has released a string of commercial mix albums. His release with Yoda entitled ‘Unthugged’ went on to earn him a massive loyal following and many more collaborations have since followed. His corporate DJ work has also been wide reaching, working with numerous high profile brands as well being Zane Lowe’s tour DJ from 2006-2009. Dan has also supported many well known groups at arena level ranging from hip-hop legends Eminem and D12 to indie stalwarts Dirty Pretty Things comfortably performing to crowds of 500 to 5000 people.
Dan fronted the much revered All City Show on London’s 104.9 XFM (2001 to 2007). The show was founded by Dan Greenpeace, Zane Lowe (Radio 1) and Theo Keating (Fake Blood) but it was Dan who took the reins from 2002 to helm the show until 2007. Dan helped break down the barriers for many new UK rap artists and interviewed every major personality in rap music from Eminem and Snoop Dogg to Busta Rhymes and Outkast. In 2005 he was put forward by XFM for a SONY Award due to his outstanding ability for making a specialist genre massively accessible. His reach on mainstream radio extended to a guest slot on Pete Tong’s legendary Essential Mix for Radio 1 as well as numerous guest mixes on Tim Westwood’s Rap show.
After a string of successful A&R roles which included founding Bad Magic, the rap subsidiary to Wall Of Sound, Dan went on to consult for a number of US based rap labels culminating in the launch of his own label All City Music home to Mercury Award Nominee and Mobo Winning rapper Sway. Dan now manages Sway who recently signed to Akon’s Kon Live recording label. As a leading journalist in his field Dan has contributed to many magazines over the years and founded his own Fat Lace Magazine in 1997 which is now a commercially successful on-line enitity. Dan now presents a monthly hip-hop slot for Spine Magazine (http://www.spinemagazine.com/) and is frequently asked to host events and lend his voice to album campaigns adding a further dimension to an extremely well rounded talent and personality.
In 2010 Dan embarked on a new AV tour bringing further to life the high energy multi-genre club sets he his now well known for.
2011 sees Dan continuing his radio and management roles and numerous club residencies.
