Born in Truro, Will obtained a rugby scholarship to Bryanston School in Blandford Forum, Dorset, where he took A levels in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Physical Education. A second year Chemistry student at Bath University and new member of the England U20 squad this season, he played initially off the bench against Scotland in February, figured in a similar role against Wales and made his first start against Italy in Rovigo.
He played in all six England U18 matches in 2009-10, including the 43-22 win over Wales in Swansea at the end of March, and all three games in the subsequent four team tournament in South Africa. It extended a family rugby tradition; his uncle Matt Skuse was a Bristol lock in the 1980s and his father, brothers and other uncles have all played the game or are still doing so.
His rugby honours include England U16A and the captaincy of Penair School, Cornwall Schools, South West U16 and Bryanston School at Sevens.
