Minnie Stephenson

Minnie Stephenson

Biography

Minnie is a charismatic presenter who knows how to disarm a celebrity with charm.
She is the entertainment reporter on channel 5’s OK!TV with Jeff Brazier and Jenny Frost.
Minnie previously worked on Five News with Natasha Kaplinsky.
She was first noticed on the radio in 2005 when Chris Moyles handed her the BBC Radio One presenter of the year prize at the Student Radio Awards.
That year she presented a Radio One show where she auctioned off her mate for a date!
Her big break in TV came in the summer of 2009 when she landed a job as the entertainment reporter on Live from Studio Five.
Since then she has interviewed stars like George Clooney, Emma Thompson, Nicole Kidman, Dames Judi Dench and Helen Mirren.
But it is Minnie’s live broadcasts which have got her noticed.
She presented channel 5’s coverage of the Oscars live from LA, and closer to home the Brits and the BAFTAs.
Minnie was not even fazed when Pete Doherty spat beer at her live on air.

It is fair to say she is used to spontaneous moments. Minnie has had her hair sculpted into a quiff by X Factor’s Jedward, carried out interviews whilst inhaling Helium, she has even braved stand-up when her routine includes a fake goldfish called Eric!
Before becoming an entertainment reporter Minnie spent 3 years as a producer on ITV’s News at Ten, Evening and Lunchtime programmes.
She has a first class honours degree from Manchester University and a post-graduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism from City University.
Minnie is also a patron of the Katharine Chian Foundation, an anti-Malaria charity for children in Sub-Saharan Africa.
