Pritchard and Dainton

Pritchard and Dainton

Biography

Pritchard and Dainton have been good friends for over 22 years due to their love of skateboarding. Their skill and dedication meant they both soon turned professional and later had over 20 skateboards named after them. Not only were they known for their skateboard ability but they were slowly making a name for themselves for being the jokers and pranksters and causing chaos wherever they went and at every party they attended.

Because of their behaviour and their love for skateboarding they decided to capture it all on camera and in the year 2000 they released the most talked about skate video ever produced titled “PRITCHARD VS DAINTON”. It was the biggest skate video to ever hit the International scene which generated a lot of interest in the skate community and eventually the British media. With big magazines like Loaded, FHM, The Face and a 10 min documentary on Channel 4’s TV show ‘Passengers’ they soon became big names in youth culture.

A few crazy months later they had their own TV show on MTV UK enrolling Dan Joyce and Mike ‘Pancho’ Locke titled ‘Dirty Sanchez’. The show was an instant success and was the first and only British produced MTV show to be sold worldwide. It eventually went to 64 countries and had 450 million viewers making it the second most watched show on MTV2 in the U.S. Due to their huge popularity, of course MTV came knocking for a second series….and it continued…

After 3 massive series’ on MTV they were offered a movie by Vertigo and MTV films. The film ‘The Seven Deadly Sins‘ was filmed as the boys travelled the world re-creating the seven deadly sins in country’s like Russia, Japan, Thailand and Dominican Republic. Famous stunts from the film included a prank on Pritchard where he was told there was a World record for the most amount of paintballs fired to the naked body only for him to find out there was no such record. He discovered this after receiving 103 hits to the naked body. Owch!

The film hit the cinemas in the UK and U.S making over a million pounds in the UK and over 4 million in blockbuster rentals alone in the U.S.

Pritchard and Dainton then got offered another show by MTV titled ‘Wrecked’ where they both would have a member of the public face a list of challenges. The winner being triumphant over the other and the loser having a prized possession of his ‘wrecked’.

After the continued success of all series MTV came knocking again to make another show titled ‘Pritchard vs Dainton - Sanchez Gets High’ where they both would travel the world indulging in various legal highs. They spent a few days with tribal families across such countries as South Africa, The Philippines and Brazil to learn their way of life, their Religion, rituals and spiritual beliefs.

Throughout filming all of their five series on MTV they have both spent a lot of their time travelling The World performing their live show. They have had sold out shows at big festivals like Reading, Download, Wakestock and The Soundwave Festival Australia and did an 85 date tour of the UK in 2010 alone.

Dirty Sanchez shows are still being repeated internationally with strong DVD sales.

Pritchard and Dainton continue to work hard outside of TV and film. Pritchard runs a clothing and nightclub event label called S.W.Y.D (Sleep When You’re Dead) and Dainton owns his own skateboard company called ‘Kill City’ as well as a photographic studio called Photographitti. Both also run Sleep When You’re Dead productions along with Dirty Sanchez’s director Jim Hickey which co-produced the “Pritchard vs Dainton - Sanchez Gets High” with MTV.

The boys are currently working on some new high profile tv projects and another film that will see them back causing chaos in a way only they can get away with.
