Ray had a troubled childhood. His mother died when he was young and his father had senile dementia. At high school Ray was heavily bullied due to the fact his name sounded a bit like ‘Reindeer’ so with no real friends he began talking to his imaginary friend, something that later proved to be amazing training for the future. 

The abuse he suffered only encouraged Ray and in his mid twenties he went on to become a semi professional golfer. He looked set for a successful career until an embarrassing incident took place at Pebble creek golf course in his home town of Cincinnati. It was the 18th hole, in front the crowd Ray started a fight with his caddy and both of them nearly drowned in the lake. The caddy ended up with brain damage and Ray’s golf career ended prematurely.

Ray then had brief flirtations as an adult film maker with stints both in front and behind the camera and later as a bongo player with various touring bands the pinnacle of which being a live performance with Jamiroquai in his late 20’s.

His new lifestyle as a musician did not please his wife and she left him. Lonely and desperate he flew to London and began pouring his heart out to whoever would listen on the internet. Ray uses the average joe as an unwilling shrink with hilariously awkward consequences.

Ray is currently writing and filming his own documentary series on dating in the UK.
