Biography

Insanity’s resident ‘Mr Showbiz’, Dean Piper is a 26yr old Celebrity & Showbiz Expert and currently the celebrity and entertainment columnist for Closer Magazine. Having started out on the 3am desk at The Mirror, Dean then went on to edit the showbiz column for the Sunday People, and was then appointed Entertainment Editor at Loaded Magazine, before joining Closer.



He writes a solo column as “Mr Showbiz” every week in the UK’s number one celebrity magazine and also does a daily blog of his adventures all over the globe at http://www.deanpiper.com - Dean reports from A-List events worldwide, whether its from Elton John’s Oscars Party, Canne Film Festival, to the MTV Movie Awards. Dean has developed some fantastic relationships with the celebrities he has worked with over the years including Spice Girls Mel B, televisions, Myleene Klass.

Whether he’s applying Make-Up to Cortney Love in a ladies loo, discussing cheese farmers markets with Kiera Knightley or hanging with James Blunt for after hours drinks, Dean’s perfectly adaptable to any social situation.

Dean is a regular celebrity expert on BBC News 24, Sky News and Radio Five Live for high profile showbiz stories as well as working at various BBC Radio stations all over the country. Dean is also a regular contributor to Channel 5’s celebrity documentaries.

Dean is currently writing his first book, based on his showbiz encounters over the past 8 years.
