Jon Franks
Biography
Jon Franks was discovered by MTV UK in late 2006 and was asked to host its afternoon continuity show, FYI.
Jon co-hosted FYI with Louis Bhose. The first edition of FYI aired on Monday February 12 2007, featuring shows like Laguna Beach, My Super Sweet 16 and Made. On FYI, Jon had the pleasure of interviewing big stars and personal heroes Hanson, JoJo, and Ne-Yo. He is the only MTV UK presenter to have sung the chorus of “Hero” to Enrique Iglesias on camera.
In 2008, Jon co-hosted coverage of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards for MTV, alongside musician and television presenter Lil’ Chris. He also presented red carpet coverage of major movie premieres, including The Dark Knight, for Myspace TV.
2009 has already seen Jon present regular segments for CBBC Sportsround.
