
Louise Roe, 26, is one of the UK’s leading Fashion and Style experts. After graduating from the University of Durham with a First Class Honors degree in English Literature, Louise began writing about fashion, celebrity, film, music and homes for Elle magazine. She then moved onto titles including In Style, Glamour and Vogue.com. After a season styling various celebrities and the popular BBC series, What Not to Wear, she was chosen to co-host UKTV Style’s ‘The Clothes Show’.
Louise currently splits her time between both London and LA. Louise was appointed as a fashion expert for the Style Network’s makeover show, Go Fix Yourself, and is a correspondent for the US daily celebrity show Extra. Louise is also a regular face for E! where she has appeared on the hugely popular show Fashion Police.
In the UK Louise reports the fashion trends and gossip for GMTV and its sister show LK Today, Louise comments on everything from Red Carpet Glamour, to Waterproof Mascara. She also presents the Seasonal ‘One-Minute TV Fashion’ segments for GMTV. In the summer of 2008 Louise presented an investigative, immersive documentary for the BBC, ‘Addicted to Boob Jobs’, which was one of the channel’s highest-rating shows for the month of July.
Back in the States, Louise will be presenting and producing ‘Styleocity’, an online fashion series for ABC’s Stage 9. Listed on Style.com’s ‘Top 10 Most Stylish People’, Louise is the face of American VogueTV, hosting the hugely popular online channel, which features a mix of red carpet interviews and studio broadcasts.
Louise was appointed ‘Style Advisor’ for the US Brand Piperlime.com (part of GAP Inc.) and carried out a media tour in the States where she appeared on some of the countries leading breakfast shows, commenting on Seasonal footwear trends for both A/W 08 and S/S 09.
Louise also pens style columns for Elle, The Observer’s ‘O’ magazine, and The London Lite newspaper. An honorary fellow at Solent University, she conducts bi-annual lectures to fashion students.
In July 2009 Louise was appointed ‘Style Director’ of the UK’s leading online fashion retailer ‘Very’ (www.very.co.uk). Louise presents online street style features, styles shoots, models the latest collections and pens a monthly fashion diary for the company’s magazine. Louise will also feature in the company’s first TV commercial for autumn 2009.
With an impressive back-catalogue of Live presenting experience too, Louise is a total natural in front of Live audiences, however small or large. She has presented the main fashion stage at the Clothes Show Live in front of 5,000 people for the past 3 years; she has also hosted events for Sony Ericsson and Tommy Hilfiger, Fake Bake and Bottega and has presented the Scottish Fashion Awards for the past 2 years. Louise also took to the stage for 2009’s London Fashion Weekender where she hosted the Elle Sponsored sell out shows for 5 days.
